Default pacesetters on way! need opinions

my pacesetters should be here monday i didnt order a y pipe because i decided to copy bigkids y-pipe idea. here it is...

it just looks like it would flow better to me...its a 3" y-pipe into a single 3"collector.

do you think 3" from collector to muffler is too much exhaust for a stock 5.3(mods in sig)

i havent decided if im guna use cats or not. it all depends on how raspy it gets.

It wont benefit you much I wouldnt think, but it gives you room for more growth . I wanted to do the same thing, but I dont want to use gas on my welder and this fluxcored **** is a pain to get it to totally seal and Im scared to get under there to measure everything, so I went with the Pacesetter Y and I'll cut it up and weld in dual 3" electric cutouts. Once I get better I may get a 3" to 3.5" collector and make one like Bigkids.

congrats on the headers, that y pipe looks pretty good, imo a full 3'' for the 5.3 maybe a lil much, but hey, im sure that u wont be disappointed. i plan on the pacesetters for my 4.8 and i'll end up using the y that pace makes.

If your going 3" off the colectors into a single Its not going to hurt you any... you can only flow as much as you can threw the smallest part of your exhaust

the only reason im concerned is because i realized alot of the othre well known LT's come with smaller primaries. i just hoping 3" isnt so much overkill that it hurts my performance in the long run...
