Sorry, had to help some family move this morning.
Thats the wire schematic from a Fbody on how the PCM controls the fans. Basically puts them in a series for 1/2 speed, and changed to parallel for full speed.

That's exactly what was looking for. Iv got a little toy I got from O'Riellys that will operate as one of the PCM switchs. It will energize when the AC is on or the included temp switch hits a limit.
I am going to do away with the Flex A Lite doom-a-flootchy they call a VSC. I've been overheating, not really, but it isn't staying at the desired 175'ish. It's been climbing up to a steady 200 and won't come down. I'm thinking it's the fans not having the juice to run.

I hear you. Flexalite sent me a brand new VSC thats supposed to be "fixed". I didn't hook up their temp probe, instead I used the PCM to trip the manual "on" on the VSC to make the fans come on High at a certain temp. Now I know exactly what temps tha fans come on and off, but its still through the VSC.

WHen I pulled all the wires off mine, I had the ground terminal come out with the crimp on slide connector. The plastic on the connector has been VERY hot. One of the terminals came off of the temp probe connectors too. The whole thing looks as though it's been pretty hot a time or 2. I think this was a good timing proactive move. I'm thinking it would have left me stranded or even worse burn up a motor or the whole truck for that mater.

If you've had it less than a year, call flexalite and have them send you a new one. Even if you don't use it, get the thing replaced. You can Ebay it worst case. They sent me the VSC and all new wiring.

It's been about a year and I have not a clue where the invoice is for it. I think I would have a rather difficult time getting them to replace it. I thought about it though.
I haven't heard those fans roar like this in a lognm time. I know for a fact now that the VSC was about to poop out on me and not getting all the current needed to the fans.
