Default Paging PappyDan:

What supercharger is that on your motor? It looks like a Vortech, but it could be a PowerDyne. Post up some pics man.

it is a power dyne, I'm running the 2.50 pulley at 11 psi
just passed the 19000 mile mark on it with no problems at all.

Thats why I asked it looked like a Vortech but it was on the wrong side to be a Vortech.

Got any pics handy. And how is it treating you?.. You said you have not had any problems but how is its behavior. Provability, power, and all. What head unit is that BD-11?

it is the BD-11 A. so far very reliable no change in it's behavior, boost starts out low with the low rpm's, as the rpm's increase boost pressure increases and the hp as well.
at low rpm's it acts like a ram air system with pressure on the throttle body very noticeable.
did a test with it off on normal driving and it felt like I lost 50 horses, power was low, response was delayed, it was like my bed was loaded or I had a trailer hooked up.
when I do a steady climb the rpm's and the boost gauge looks like this.
1500 rpm's - 1 psi
2000 rpm's - 2 psi
2500 rpm's - 3 psi
3000 rpm's - 4 psi
3400 rpm's - 5 psi
3850 rpm's - 6 psi
4325 rpm's - 7 psi
4800 rpm's - 8 psi
5200 rpm's - 9 psi
5600 rpm's -10 psi
6000 rpm's -11 psi
as the it climbs the motor just keeps getting stronger and stronger and stronger, at about 4000 rpm's the hair starts to stand on the back of my neck, then it's like OMG.
I did this with my brother in the truck and when it got to about 4200 he started shouting slow it down, slow it down, slow it down damn it. he got unnerved real quick.
I have read allot of crap on this board, and other boards about how bad this supercharger is.
so far I have over 19000 miles on it, I have never babied it, I use it the way it was meant for and more, I read and went by the instructions on install, and to this day I have had none of the problems any one has stated they had with one.
the only problem I had with the system is that the bypass valve could not hold up to the higher pressure made by the 2.50 pulley, the pressure forced it open at 6 to 7 psi and I lost boost, so I replaced it with a different valve.
it's very quite, I love pulling on a hemi or a lighting and when they ask is that a 6.0 you got, i just say no it's a 4.8.
