i got some 50lb units from racetronics, i think they are holly/msd's but i am not sure anymore. they didn't bolt/plug right in.

if you want a good injector that bolts/plugs right in go with the 41lb(@58psi) ones that you can get from RC engenering, that is if thayis big enuff for you. they cost alot but are worth it since they fit right in there.

Hey man. I was going to copy GMCSKI, and use the RC 42's. He seems to have a good setup. When I can afford them anyway. For now I will turn up the PE a little(65%)
I got my intercooler and tubing in today, FMU, Booster pump bracket, relay, and power wires hooked up, and put TR6's in yesterday. All I have left to put on is the bracket and compressor, maybe tomorrow or the next day. I am pretty excited I also have a boost and fuel press gauge, but he boost gauge needs to have the tubing run for pressure. Thaks for the help! Sam

Now its not any of my business, but, Parish how much money do you have in your truck.

In my drag car (1970 GTO) I have about $5,000.oo in just the heads so I was wondering what it take money wise to get into the 11's with a truck.

Now, 11s in what truck? In an excab 4x4 like Parish, or in a reg cab 2wd? Big difference in weight and power needed. I bet you can take a 2wd single cab 5.3 and get there with $3K or less (but it wont last). Cam, springs, 150+ shot nitrous, gears, big stall, drag slicks, misc bolts ons. The trans will need a rebuild after a few hard launches, but you should have an 11 second slip.

hmm, lets see

stall 700
motor 1500
headers 700
exhaust 400(not sure, traded some labor on that one)
tranny 2100
nx kit 525
radiator 250
fans 250?
ls1edit 550
atap 300?
wideband 800
eaton 400
injectors 500
gauges 350
fuel pump 120
whipple 3800

hmm, thats $13,245. better add another $750 or so in other little stuff. call it an even 14k. what did i forget? truck cost 20k.

no doubt thats alot of money, a few of those parts i can use on my next ride like atap, wideband and ls1edit. the price of spanking nearly everyone i race and having people line up to ask me about my truck... pricless . if you had asked me 2 months ago i might have felt a little diferently but i have been haveing alot of fun with it lately.

Thank goodness you got some things worked out.

BLAST FROM THE PAST:

i give up, my truck isn't geting any faster, infact it just keeps on geting slower.

raise shift points-- gets slower
increase fuel at the top to try and reduce KR--gets slower
increase boost from 3 to 6psi-- stays the same(at wot anyways
reduce timing a little to try and get rid of KR-- gets slower.

i am hoping exhaust makes turns this into a new truck, so far my best time is 4/10ths quicker than last year, then was just a 5.3 with whipple kit, now is yank3000, 2002 6.0, 41lb injectors, and the stock 5.3 exhaust. i was hoping for a full second with the mods, to get this exhaust will have to give me 6/10ths. hmm, doesn't seem likely, time will tell.

...now for my luck at the track... i have been completly unable to get any consistancy at all with my truck. my times were all over the place. best time of 14.9 and that sucks...
