Is Parish's silverado 4wd???

i thought u could only run 4hi until 55mph, after that u start fudging things up. I was told this when i bought my 02 trailblazer 4x4. I know at the track if i run it in 4hi my 1/4 mile would be alot faster than it would be in with autotrac

I've had mine to about 110 in 4hi, no problems. Parish has probably had his to 130 or so in 4hi.

I usually hit the 2hi button at around 60mph, and it comes out of 4hi by 80 or so.

That's not true at all. Every chevy case I can think of except the 203 locks front and rear together. The 203 acts like an open differential. And believe me I've bound up both my NP208 and NP241.

the 203 does have a locking selection though. they are 4hi, 4hi lock, 4 low, and 4 low lock. the only current open diff case that i know of is in the late model escalades.

55mph is the speed that you're not supposed to shift between 2hi and 4hi at. I don't do it above 45.
