PCV Fresh Air Tap Into CAI Hose

PCV Fresh Air Tap Into CAI Hose
I am finishing up my 416 with a 2.9L Whipple and DBW throttle body. I need to install a 3/8 inch hose barb into my 4 inch 90 degree silicone CAI hose for the PVC fresh air hose.
This bulkhead barb concerns me in that it has a nut on the inside. Even with Loctite I would be concerned that if anything went wrong, the nut would enter the engine.
I found these nifty bulkhead fittings that are used for water bypass on jet-skis. They are made out of aluminum and have the nut on the outside only only cost about $8 each. I noticed that they come in straight, 45 degree & 90 degree. Some material could be taken off the 'dome' to minimize any air flow restriction. My question is would the 45 or 90 actually be beneficial if pointed towards the incoming air for a bit of forced fresh air or is that a bad thing?
