Bone stock '02 Yukon SLE (2wd), with baby seat, 50# speaker box, and spare tire... No weight reduction whatsoever (actually added weight). Had Firestone Destination LE tires w/ pedal to the floor all the way thru the 1/4. TC off with Tow/Haul on. Went to NPR (Belle Rose, LA) in October, and joked about putting the "grocery getter" on the track. Had some fun running it!

Well it seems as if the difference between a 4.8 and the 5.3 is small in the 1/8 mile..but the 1/4 mile is where it loses ground...that Yukon seems pretty stout!

Plenty of info on the 4.8 tho. Only difference on the motors is stroke, this is why the HP figures are close ( 270 vs 285 ) but the torque is huge ( 275 vs 320 ). The extra torque really gets these big rolling bricks going off the line faster.
I have a 6.0 in my Denali which is a half ton? Track is closed now.

Pretty cool site...I think some of these car magazines should have a database on every single car that they have ever tested. Then we would have a much easier timeof finding stuff. What about TruckTrend?
