well removing the filter completely adds alot of power. Thats mighty fast. I'm gonna have to try that.

Removing the filter is worth a tenth. Remember to keep it cool and stage real shallow that is worth about a tenth also.

might have to take my intake/dumped bullet exhaust truck to the track when it opens....see what how well i can run it. if i couldhti below 16.5 i'd be happy wtih it lol

I take my headlight and filter off... runs great that way...

if i go..think when i get there ill take off the spare tire, and my bed...and launch in 4wd ill take the hood off 2..not like ti helps the aerodynamics anywyas right?

Well our trucks have brick-like aero's anyway so it shouldn't make a difference. I set a new record last night in the 1/8. 9.97@70.8mph.

Other than my ghetto intake combined with the headlight removal, my utterly stock 4.8L '02 ECSB 2wd Silverado ran a best of 16.5, with two other runs at 16.6. It was kind of funny when I ran it because I wasn't disappointed, yet it didn't enthrall me either. Before I timed it, I told my friends what I thought it'd run, a 16.5, and it did exactly what I guessed. Kind of a let down when you are dead on...
