PERFORMANCE TIRES???
I HAVE BEEN thinking about new tires in the next 6 months or so and have pretty much been looking at toyos, but now i see these "Yokohama
YOKOHAMA AVS S/T BLACK
285/60R-17 111V"
and they look like they might be good for street corner carving!! but i have been thinking about it and was wondering if i can get away with a 295 wide tire on my wheels??? and is there something like a 295/55/17 or 285/55/17 out there?

Re: PERFORMANCE TIRES???
I am sorry but I cannot recomend the Yokos to you. They are decent tires but they do not have the traction I expect from a $200 tire plus they are noisy and hard to keep balanced creating a less than smooth ride.
The Nitto 404 I just replaced them with ride much better are quieter and have just as good of traction for a lot less money. Although, I have heard no complaints on the toyos either.

Re: PERFORMANCE TIRES???
I have Pirelli Scorpion Zero 275/60/16's on my truck and I LOVE them, probably the best tires I have ever driven on.
Their handling/traction dry and wet is unbelieveable. They are very quiet tires as well and dont squeal on high G turns.
Get these tires you wont be disappointed!

I have toyo proxes 305/60/18's and they are soooo sweet. They are quiet and hang in there around corners like no other. They are a bit pricy, but worth every penny.

Re: PERFORMANCE TIRES???
Matt, I have Yoko's on my truck. But like BigKid said, for the money, they fall a little below expectaions. Mine have held up very well though and they are pimp looking. But they are loud, my next buy will be the 404's.
