The only problem is that it does not color match the rest of the stuff in the fuel system. It's black anodized and the rest is red anodized. Kinda like one brown and one black sock. What will my friends say? How can I show my face in public?! Oh the shame of it!
You just need one. I ordered the second one because the first one leaked like a sieve. Second was the same. The flapper end has a nice o-ring seal. The other end just has a few coarse threads and no internal shoulder for a seal?? Should just be welded closed.

Hehe......Didn't think you would like that black one to go with your shiny red pump and filters. But you wouldn't want my red one the way it looks now either. It took a severe beating.

You will have to disable the DTC Processing Enablers and MILs for the FTP(fuel tank pressure sensor) and likely the evap system as well. Even if you kept the evap system, it's diagnostics rely on the FTP sensor.

FTP DTCs: P0452, P0453

Evap System DTCs: P0442, P0443, P0445, P0446, P0449

I gotta tell you.. I'm glad you are in my life. I just plain envy the way your mind works. I would likely have searched forever in order to find that information.

Now I just have to figure out what to do with it .... but I'll get'r done.

Thanks Mark.

Yeah I know.. it's just heartbreaking.. A Major bummer. I thought about paint and I thought about wrapping the check valve in duct tape... at least that would match the braided fuel line. But I guess I'll have to live with it. Life is tough and then ya die. I just hope there is no "GQ" in the truck world.. you know truck fashion police or somethun.

Grandpa's havin fun!
