It rides nice and smooth, very tight feeling. I believe the newer style GM trucks have hydroformed frame rails like the Corvette. It is also very quiet, hardly any road noise. I am buying Greg's 17" wheels/tires this week, here is a picture of his truck:

I don't plan on lowering mine as much as Greg did (2" front, 4" rear), but might level out my rear with some 2" lowering shackles.

"Storm Gray Metallic"

dyno runs were in 2nd gear, and some guys say that is worth 10+ rwhp difference loss compared to 3rd gear. Here are the dynos:

That would be a 3-4 drop. When I got those wheels, all I had was the 2" rear done and they really accent the truck well. I'll be getting 18's this week. Not to much on the Bling Bling side though.

Hey Greg, while you were asleep I stole the wheels off of your truck. I already had MTI install them! Here is proof:

Hope your truck doesn't fall off the cinder blocks I left under it bud!

hey tony, that was yours that was the stock 5.3l?

when you think about it, considering that was in 2nd gear and me, 99redhawk, and ox, both lost right at 20rwhp on the dyno for second gear. assuming u only gained 15 that would put you at like 245-250. which is DAMN nice for a stock truck that isnt even really broken in, for a truck thats rated at 285hp

obviously there is a power power increase, what would make gm not want to raise the "285hp"?

If someone local with a '02 HPP3 will let me borrow it, I'll have MTI re-dyno my 5.3L truck in 3rd gear. I'm somewhat curious myself!

Mongoose, I don't play pool as much as I used to. I competed semi-pro, mostly in the TX area, and was the Southwest Conference University 9-ball champion when I was a Junior (1996). That was from a field of 350 entries, race to 9, winner break format. I strung 4 racks to start off the set
