i have neverheard it helps it clean out but if it didnt do anything good why would they have it on there? other than to reduce emissions by recycling the same exhaust gasses over and over maybe. good to know about the EGR delete. what if i got it tuned before the header swap and had them delete the EGR before? im guessing that wouldnt be good to run with an EGR delete and stock manifolds...

http://www.actron.com/product_detail.php?pid=16298 heres what im talking about im sure u can get them for about $75 or you might take it to a mechanic that prolly would delte the codes really cheap.

You can turn the SES light off with the diagnostics tool, but it will come back on. You need to have it "removed" from the computer with EFI live or some other tuning software. I deleted my EGR when I did the 6.0 swap, but rode around for about 2 weeks with the SES light on until a friend who has the EFI shop edition deleted it for me. A custom dyno tune is still on my "to do" list, but I'll be getting one in the near future.
