Pirelli or Kumho tires?
I am in need of a set of tires for my new wheels. After looking at tirerack I have narrowed the choices down to either the Pirelli Scorpion Zero at ~$120 per tire or the Kuhmo Ecsta STX at $88 per tire. Both are V rated and the load ratings are the same. Does anyone have experience with these tires. I will buy them in either 275/60/17 or 265/60/17. My truck is a 2WD which sees a dirt parking lot at most, but I do tow a car trailer with it.

Have you looked at the Goodyear, GT2's? I've got 275/60/17's on my truck with a three inch drop in the rear and it looks good. I also tow a 26ft enclosed car trailer with it ...they feel good with a trailer...

If you drive hard the Scorpion Zeros are going to wear real fast. A buddy of mine has a set of Kumhos on his 97 Cobra and they have been some really good tires for how cheap they are. I dont know if the STXs are the same compound or tread pattern but maybe that will help in your decision a little.

Re: Pirelli or Kumho tires?
do the kumhos get good traction for a dig? my friend has the goodyear GT2s and they hook damn well on his truck with the traction bars. i got traction bars with my stocker wheels/tires and they will still spin a good bit.
