Default piston ring questions

i am about to buy another set of rings for my 383 because the set i was sold was way to big. Summit only has a moly coated ductile iron ring set and the machine shop told me to stay away from those types of rings. any input on what to buy?

Do you have file fit rings? What piston are you running and what application?

its a 5.3L bored and stroked to 383 with 11.5:1 compression, PRC stage 2.5 heads, comp cam 228/234 112lsa. the Mahle rings i ordered are moly coated ductile iron rings that are file fit total seal rings.

Well that or a plasma molly is what I usually run. Unless you plan on big n20 then you might want to look at a hellfire or steel ring.
