Why did you assume the transmission was the culprit for the low numbers? Does the truck run and idle well? Good throttle response? Can you post the dyno sheet for us to see.
I'd think that cam is bit large for your current build also, What heads and intake are you running?

lol i wish it had been a cobra..lol
lol.. all 8 hooked up i promise
runing ac delco 41110 plugs gaped at .040, autolite wires which are only around 3 months old, pacesetter long tube headers and they are wrapped and the wires are not touching
well i throttle response was kind of shitty, it bounced off the limiter a couple of times before going into second, and over drive was in and out constantly.
i will post the pic of the dyno sheet in a second

everything is stock as far as intake and heads go.
i bought that cam about 3 years ago fro another project i had going on, is there a possibility that the cam is whats causing the issues?
yes a have a couple buddies that run that cam in camaros and they love it. but of course like you said they rev it them to the moon mine shifts at about 65oo

Take it to the track. A cam'd v6 will put that down LOL. Either that dyno was done in the wrong gear, or it is off, or horrid tuning which I could not think it would even run if it was out that much. Stock 6.0's make more then that. Shift points is not going to net you another 100 hp. I would shift that cam at about 65-6700. Something def out for sure.

well the reason i chose 6500 was due to the fact that i am still on the stock intake, but i will definitely try 6800 and see how she acts up there.
i guess ill just have to go over every little thing i can think of that can be wrong. i guess it could be a combination of things that could be hurting me. i am looking for a tbss intake too that should help a little and im also looking into getting a set of 862 heads worked to see if i can up the compression a bit.
BTW i really want to thank you guys for the advise, i follow this forum pretty regularly and see your names come up a lot. i think its awesome that you share your knowledge and try to help others.
