'00 Z71 ECSB, 5.3 and 3.73 gears. About 65% highway the rest around town, I average between 16.5 and 17mpg. No tune, 87 octane. I keep my foot out of it unless I get ticked at someone and pass them with a vengeance (like to keep it up there to get them out of view before I slow down).

City before turbo 12, after turbo 14. Hwy 14 before turbo 16 after turbo. Now explain this one, pulling 8500# camper before turbo 10.5-11 after turbo 14.5, and this is pulling it 65-70mph.

03 ECSB - 5.3 - have knock down over 20 before - most recent 350 miles round trip 19.3 with cruise set at 75 mph and a couple of WOT

16mpg hwy and about 9mpg in town (but I horse it pretty good in town too)

I only average 16 with my 5.3 with a TT3000 converter....I hope to have some numbers for the 6.0L by the end of the month.

Sweet.

More power means you don't have to use the pedal as much, so you get better mileage.

This is some good results,seems the 5.3 "s do good and some 6.0's do to,I think it has a lot to do with how hard you drive it ,duh!

2001 2500hd. straight piped interstate about 11 mpg. city is around 8. thats with 8" lift with 20s and mud tires though.

Bone-stock 03 Silverado SS, I average 14-15 mixed use, and can get 18.5-19 on longer highway trips when driving conservatively.

'02 X-cab Silverado with 5.3, town i usually get 13-15 and highway i get 17-19 once in while 20 if i dont get on it, cruise at 70mph
