Default Which plug wires?

My stock wires are pulling out of the metal clip thing that connects to the sparkplug, and I have to recrimp it every time, these things need to go.

Which plugs wires are the best quality and fit? I also have ASM headers.

MSDs 8.5? Taylors 8mm? Or Taylor 10mm wires?

thanks.

I cannot recommend TV50's.

My first set - I had some performance problems. Pulled the wires, and two to three of them broke at the spark-plug end. The clip stayed on the plug, and it pulled the end of the internal wire off.

I got another set under waranty. I went to put in spark plugs a little while back. I had another plug wire let go the same way.

I also noticed at the coil end - some wires get a good connection, others don't. The reason is that some of the wires have the metal clip about 3/8" from the end of the boot, while others have it about 3/4" back, so the "snout" of the coil "bottoms out" in the boot before a nice positive CLICK is heard from the clip.

I had a set of MSD 8.5's, and like them a lot... except for the fact that they were too long for my old 5.3 motor. They were the "LS1 truck" set.

I orderd a set of MSD's to replace my TV50's, and I went with the "LS1 car" set. They should be here this week.

Cool... you should like them a lot.

I also heard that the factory metal heat shrowds can be used on the MSD wires, in case you have any heat problems from headers.

Yeah, I'm still using my factory heat shields to cover my MSD wires. Keep the springs in there too.
