All are easy except for the back passenger side one. That one is a PITA.

I did a Quai Chang Cain meditation before attempting to install this plug and it went right in.

Not hard at all, cept the back two. Even those aren't that bad. Gap em at .060" or something like that. I think they come gapped at like .050".

Oh and I got the NGK TR55 as well. Fixin to get a new set, and wires.

Aren't the NGK tr55 the factory plugs? If not what? What is best gap? Factory or something else? I know somebody here has been playing around trying to find some extra ponies.

I took out my stockers and they were NGK TR55. I replaced them with TR6's for the blower.

Gap I thought was .060 for the TR55's......

Unless you're running really rich and have fouled a plug, or are running nitrous or a turbo or a blower, or have 40,000-50,000 miles on the motor, I can't see where changing them out would help much. On the other hand, I can't see where changing them out would hurt, either.

I run the regular copper TR-55's and change them every 30K. The oems were AC Delco in my Tahoe. After about 15K, 2 of the platinum disks had fallen off and went god knows where...hopefully out the exhaust.

I found I got a smoother idle with the new plugs and I can't see leaving plugs in an aluminium head for 100K...can you say stripped threads???

IMO, the only benefit to platinum is longevity. I run copper because I don't mind changing them and my truck runs better with them.

Oh yeah, my local Napa carries them at $1.60 a plug.
