Default Poor Mobil One?

What do you think about claims by Castrol and others about how much better their syn oil is than M1? Castrol says their's is 8x better regarding valve train wear...Valvoline and Pennzoil are supposedly superior, too.

Without seeing independent test data and knowing how valid it is or isn't,it's not more than advertising noise,IMO.

Anyone care to comment?

When one company states the name of the product they say they are 'better' than it indicates that the other company is the standard of industry.

Always been a firm "DOESN'T MATTER what oil you use as long as you don't run it dry" guy. Cause it doesn't

No one here can tell the difference.

id say oil is prob the most important element to ur motors long term success. not something to take lightly and if one oil makes for a more effortless operation while maintaining the necessary properties to protect ur engine i would think thats damn important.
