why dont you just port your 6.0 heads? they outflow 5.7 heads stock vs stock anyway!

you might be making 335 at the crank theirs no way at the wheels. really you need to get a cam or a super or turbo charger to really appreciate those heads, personally it's not worth the money until you get one of those.

yeah i was planning on getting a cam but wondered what gains i would get just out of the heads.. would it be cheaper just to get a supercharger or turbo instead of doing heads and cam and tuning?

A good H/C package will be much cheaper than a s/c or t/c.

For a really nice set of heads, you are looking @ about 2000 a pair, but can be found cheaper. For a good cam package (new cam, springs, titanium retainers, maybe even pushrods) it will be about 700.... with those retainers adding about 200 to that price, but again, can be found cheaper depending on what you get.

Nice heads:
2000
Really nice cam package:
700
Dyno tune:
450
Total:
3150

While your @ it throw in a TCI Streetfighter:
450

New total:
3600

And you are fast....

Now don't hold me to all of that, but that is what I am thinking.

A good S/C or turbo setup will cost about 4000+ from what I hear.

I think picking out a set of heads can be as crucial as picking out the correct spec'd camshaft.

need to make it work with your mods.
valve sizes, volume, chamber size,-milling, exc.

thats one thing that worries me about alot of the vendors is the stage heads you can get. I want the stage for my setup. All of the classifications is just bullshit.

One guys stage 3 head might be equal to anothers stage 2.

Hey man I go to the same school ur buddy is porting your heads. Your truck will be making 450 hp at the crank probably once you put the heads/cam on it.

I plan on doing the same thing to my truck but it will be after the first of the year when I do mine.
Your truck will roll out when its done..

You wont have near that much into the project either because you wount be paying that uch for the heads or the porting.
