Default Ported my MAF

I ported my MAF.... It works fine for me. I got 2 more mpg and better trottle response and I feel little bit more power but, I put it on my bros 04 tahoe and it threw a code. It read that it was running lean... but works fine on mine... Any ideas?

every truck is different. it might work on one but not another. for the most part people are leaving there mafs alone due to lean conditions. but if it is working for you then go for it.

I know you mean throttle body, and not your mass air flow sensor.....

Right?

I ported the entrance to my MAF. Not much a port, just took away some material.
Didn't notice a difference. Tuning was the same.

Ive always stayed away from messing with my maf, it is popular with the ford guys also they just call theres a mass air sensor MAS. It lets more air in for a given frequency leaning things out, I think people get initial gains until the trims are learned and then the gains go away Ive never seen anyone put this mod to a test with the dyno but its misleading because the pcm corrects for it over time.
Thats my take on it.
