Default ported throttle body

is anyone using a ported stock throttle body? I saw a link and checked it out seems better than dropping 400 for a BBK.

Many people on LS1.com use them. That site is really jacked up so most people (including myself) migrated over here.

But, hardly anyone uses the BBK. The hole in the manifold for the TB is only 77mm so it would be silly to get an 80mm TB unless you port match them. Besides on a mild hop-up a ported stocker is fine.

$140 is not bad. Do a search for "Shaner throttle body" on yahoo and you will find him. He's located in Grand Prairie, TX (close to me)

Here is mine:
STOCK
PORTED

They are 2 different T/B's (same kind), because I keep all the stock parts. I had mine done by someone here on the board, but he only does it as a hobby and doesn't want to be flooded with them. I was asked not to make referals, sorry. Got a killer deal though. $75.00 for the T/B, parts and labor.

Check out JANTZER one of our sponsors. He powdercoats too.

Little smoother and quicker response. I wouldn't place it high on the priority list unless you can get it done for under $100.
