Posi ??? My twins aren't anymore.
I was told at the track that I was smoking one tire. That explains the 2.40-60' time. So I find some clean asphalt and lite em up. My twins are sick, lefty is way to long. I run an Auburn Pro and have about 60K on it.probably 100+ hard takeoffs. I notice Auburn offers a rebuild kit for $150.??. Has anybody rebuilt theirs??
I guess this post should be in gears and axles.
Will a moderator please relocate.

Auburns tend to take long breaks for no reason. My Auburn in my wife's Sierra took a 9 month break after only working for 10 month. Now it's working like new but I don't trust it's reliability.

The Auburn posi's aren't rebuildable. They offer an exchange program where you send in your broken unit and they'll send you a brand new one for about $130.
I have a 14 bolt in my truck, and my Auburn broke in 12k miles.

I'm with foxspy on this one. I was always under the impression that Auburns use a cone style clutch instead of the normal flat discs, and that it's not rebuldable. But, I haven't looked at them in years and things could have changed.

That's some nice advertising sales BS they have there. I think they forgot to mention paying to have the gears setup with the new carrier and pressing and removing bearings and ring gear.
Flat clutch style posi's can be rebuilt quick and simply without disdurbing the gear setup.

This is correct and why I suggest the Eaton LSD unit.

A big thanks for the link foxspy.
I was very impressed with the performance of the auburn. I'm hard on a truck,I use it for work, towing (gooseneck), and have hundreds of time slips.
My twins where near identical for 3 yrs. but I need to solve this before Nov.
Eaton may be the answer.

Well guy's I pulled the rear cover to get #'s off auburn unit. I guess when I trashed my last R&P I knocked the ID plate off because there aint one on it.
Anyway while I had it open I cleaned it good with brake cleaner, and put in new posi lube and 90 weight oil. My Twins are back. See ya'll at Belle Rose.
Thanks for all your help and input. I plan to get an eaton in the future, but for now my Auburn is working fine.
