If you are running the truck hard, I would go ahead and replace the GM locker before it explodes and ruins your gears. Them damn things are like time bombs when they get some age on them and are run hard.

I probably have 8-10 in they scrape bin at the shop right now...Some broken completely in half.

I didn't change the posi unit and to rebuild my rear end, I spent about a $1000+. The G80 grenaded and messed up my gears and everthing. I have a radix, but hard driving can break the G80 as well. Also,a posi and install is a lot less money that rebuilding a rear end with new gears. Look at the G80 as a time bomb if you push your truck hard, it will blow.
