i dont think that anyone will be able to tell you for sure the pan will work but i am 99% sure that it would bolt on.

i would be suprized if you can feel the 80lb's from the iron block. it would be like having an extra 1/2 pasenger siting up there and thats not much.

your budget kind of puts you at a switching point of needing driveline upgrades. i think a heads and cam 6.0 is going to make some killer power meaning you will need to upgrade the tranny, fuel pump(maybe), injectors, and tuning of course. with all of that and labor you will be pushing your 10k limit i think.

just a stock 6.0 and a stall and there is a prety good chance the stock tranny will hold for a very long time.

Parish,

How much would a 409 from CMotorsports set me back? approx. I'm assuming you had them set your block up for FI with a blower cam and lower compression?

they gave me a real good deal on it. give sam a call and talk to him. my motor his some parts that are better than what you will need unless you plan on boosting it prety hard some day.

they did set it up with a good sized turbo cam and dished slugs. along with a killer crank, rods and pistions. this short block should be good for 1000+fwhp.

So it's looking more and more like a 6.0 transplant. One pretty much up and running on his 408 from CM.[/B]
Hey blown chevy I take it you work for Magnacharger? The SSR and the Buick Rainer/Trailblazer/Envoy all share the same platform. Any chance the SSR setup would fit on my Rainer?
