Default Predator for 4.8l?

Anyone out there have the predator on their 4.8l? Would you recommend it for my rcsb 5spd? I haven't really heard that much about it, but i am going to buy it in a few weeks w/ income tax money and was wanting the ups and downs about it.

Thanks

NO. SAVE THE MONEY FOR A REAL TUNE!

seriously, predator is a good handheld. to me, it's better than the other handhelds. but for the money your going to spend, you can get a better tune from one of the sponsors. i think there is still a special going for a tune for 200 bucks. save the other 250ish and do other mods. trust me....

btw, ups ---- you can play with a handheld.
you can look at live data
you get free custom tunes
you get decent gains

downs --- none i have seen adjust tire or gear changes
just decent gains
live data doesn't record
can fry your computer if you aren't carefull
limited to what you can do in a sense.

I'll sell you my predator handheld for $260 if you're interested. I love it to death and would keep it if I weren't going to get into custom tuning. It's so facinating to see what happens when you change different variables on the predator and then drive. However, I (being a control freak) want more control over what's going on. but the predator is a good starting point. I'm trying to sell it so I can buy my HP Tuners.

just make sure you pay the 65 bucks or so to have it reflashed to stock! pred isn't plug and play like hpp in that respect

Yes it is, the 04 pred tuner does not marry to the vin like the previous models did. If I am wrong I'll gladly give you $100 back for your troubles. I know for a fact though that if you restore the factory tuning, you can move this predator to another 04 V8 gas truck
