Default predator problems

I recieved my Diablo tuner today and did the basic tune then adujusted my shift points to 5800 for each gear and took off govenor and upped the shift pressure 25% in each shift and then -25% for the shift time. The problem is that my truck seems a bit more power but no shift difference. When punched it revs hard fast but it shifts just like stock or slower and no harder and it seems torque management is still raising hell or worse than before and it is also shifting way to early to what I had set. Also I re-set my speedometer and it somehow went from 5 fast to 10 fast now. I have read it takes the computer a while to get used to the new settings, but what about the speedometer not being right?

Did you set the shifts changes under normal or performance mode? Remember, performance mode only works when the tow/haul is ON. What exactly do you mean "reset the speedometer" I guess you used the diagnostices to verify this? Do you have your tire sizes in corectly, what about the gear selection?

Hey this is common for it to not always take the parameters. Just Reset the settings for the Predator, then readjust them to what you want, then, program it again. I usually have to do it twice each time to get it just right!

A lot of people have been running into this problem, and a couple people have had their computer fry on them for no reason!

Mine has setting for normal operation and Tow/haul mode. In my book, they call it the performance settings. I'll look tomorrow and get a clearer explanation of what I'm talking about. I just got the thing Wednesday.

there is normal shift and performance shift.if you set the performance shift then you will have to put it in tow haul mode for it to work.if you set the normal shift then it will work all the time.when you go above 5500 rpm the trans will do what i have been told is a shift deferment.it seems like it shifts slow but it actually shifts quick and will lunge forward.make sure your radio/ac/headlights/and all power drain sources are off before you start.my custom tune will be on its way soon. oh and check your fuel trims. long term. according to james at runnin they should be negative.

thats what i was saying about my tranny shifts. the 1-2 shift seems long and slow how ever the truck lunges forward during the shift. so maybe it is actually fast and i dont' know it.
