Question Is this Price Right for the Timing Chain?

Was looking at getting Lingenfelters dual roller timing chain. It is posted for 399.99. Why?? There isn't another one even close to that price that Cloyes makes.
The part # is 9-3153AL
Does someone else sell that same chain set for cheaper?? A lot cheaper?

it says lingenfelter thats why its expensive

cloyes is a good option but for what you are doing a sinlge or LS2 chain would be just fine your cam isnt going to be radical or extrmeley stiff springs

LS2 chain is around 30 bucks from SDPC I believe. It's only a single chain, but should be fine as long as you're not revving to the moon.

Yeah, but if I'm going to change it, I will go with a dual roller chain & gears.
Oil pump & cam kit is reasonably priced, but the chain and push rods are not.
Summit sells the same pushrods for $21.00 cheaper.
I'm waiting on Summits response to the price of the same timing chain Lingenfelter sells. As they don't have it listed on their website. They only list the single roller chain.

Seems like a huge waste of money to go w/ the Lingenfelter setup when you can drop the $30 on an LS2 unit. Heard alot of LS1 guys going this route with great results over on Tech. Your going to gain very little from a dual roller versus a single roller setup anyway. Just my .02 but I would go the LS2 route.....

What's better about the LS2 chain vs. the one I have?

I have heard the links were redesigned and and are thicker than previous year LS1 and LS6 chains. The LS2 chains now replace the LS6 chains that were previously availabe thru GM performance parts. As far as the differences between your chain and the LS2 that is a good question as I don't know the specs on the 6.0 chains. If you do some searches over on Tech there is quite a bit of info on the LS2 units....

its a decent, and cheap mod to do. also, when the chains get older they get looser and replacing them will fix that
