Cool thanks. I will just save me some money and use the LS2 chain.
Thanks guys for all the suggestions!

Question

Was doing a little bit of searching for the LS2 chain, but not too sure which one I need.
I found one from N-Motion and GM parts direct.
The one from GM parts direct say LS1, LS2, and LS6. For 45.00.
Colby04, which one do I need?
Which chain is the one in the photo posted in the previous post.

I'm not sure of the part number, but it will fit any of those models....you need to call the dealership to get the part number to be sure it's the LS2 chain-the heavier one.

do a search on here, surely somebody has posted the part number.

Just picked up these parts from my GM parts department.
Well.....I should have done this before I ordered them, but when I went to pick them up today I noticed the chain wasn't all that big. But it does say heavy duty chain on the sealed package.
Anyways, for ***** and giggles I had the GM parts guy pull up the parts numbers for the chain and sprockets for a LQ9 6.0L in 05'. Well, it turns out that the part numbers listed above are the same ones for the LQ9 6.0 block.
Anyways, I thought you guys said that I had a regular chain in my engine?
Now I will have to send these parts back and loose 20% for restock fee.
Anyone else have knowledge of the chains and gears in the LQ9 6.0 and the LS2 6.0???

Question

Ok........what's a better one now? The LS2 chain still looks whimpy!
What's another reasonably priced chain and gear set?

I would bet you have the regular run of the mill t-chain in your truck but who knows for sure. Comp makes a nice sinlge roller then you step up to any of the double rollers but oyu have to clearance the t-chain cover.
