Default Priming lifters before install?

Just got my new stock replacement lifters from scoggin dickey . Was just wondering if they are like old school hydraulic lifters where you have to submerge them in oil and pump them in order to prime them up before you install or do you let the motor prime them up itself? Thanks!

manual says just assembly lube when you put it all together... then just poor some oil on the valve system when done... then you should be good....

Ok.... How is that gonna help the lifters prime. I have been done quite a bit of work on the truck and never heard of that method. I pushed on them and they almost seem to be primed already.

Oh ok. I got it now. I was like this either im a dumbass or this Les Paul dood fell of the deep end. JFWY.

So i dont have to prime the lifter. Like i said, i got a pushrod and pushed the hell out of it and it didnt budge like it was already primed. Just curious.

I read that most guys on LS1Tech usually submerge them in Oil for awhile. I don't know which is right but it could not hurt anything.

Cut up a milk jug. Let them soak in oil for a while.
