That code sets when the ECM does not detect that the vehicle has warmed up in the proper amount of time. It suprises me that that code did not set before. Tune the code out and be done with it.

That is a LOW coolant temp code. It's typical to pop up when you change to a lower t-stat. Just have it tuned out so it doesn't pop up anymore. No worries.

That's the second time that I've heard of that with the 160 stat, makes sense why it would happen. It wasn't an issue for me, although I did tell my tuner to tune for the 160 so he may have deleted that code...

Why don't you put the 160 back in and have Wheatley make the necessary adjustments...I'm curious what changes get made, maybe run a little more timing, change fan settings if running efans, soften up or delete a few codes. I wonder if the cold enrichment strategy has to be altered?

I read online that Vinci does not recommend even running the cooler thermostat. He says the motor will never get hot enough to vaporize the condensation that builds in the motor. This can damage bearings over time. I switched back to stock due to the fact a hotter lean engine is better on gas when properly tuned.
