after busting my hump seven days a week for too long, made some over time cash, i thought it was time to start picking up parts and build up this project.

no not yet rudely awaken by asking the right questions from the dealer ship parts house.

4.8 5.3 6.0 all run the same cam shaft.
4.8 5.3 have the same heads only the 6.0 is diffrent
4.8 5.3 6.0 all run the same inteak and throtle body
4.8 5.3 6.0 all run the same injectors
4.8 5.3 same trans 4l60e 6.0 runs the 4l80e
4.8 5.3 same drive shaft 6.0 runs a shorter one
4.8 5.3 6.0 all can run off each others pcm any of witch can be upgraded
at the dealership for 70.00 bucks for the replacement motor.
4.8 flat top pistons same size as the 5.3 dished pistons, easy upgrade for the 5.3 put in the 4.8 pistons comp will be over 11 to 1
turn the 4.8 in to a 5.3, put the 5.3 crank and rods in the 4.8 for a 5.3 at over 11 to 1 comp.
4.8 5.3 starter and flywheel the same 6.0 diffrent starter and flywheel.

i think i will start looking for a 6.0, trans, and drive shaft, then go for the whipple.

already have 6.0 cam, it is no diffrent then what i have now in the 4.8
already have 5.3 crank and rods
already have the 6.0 injectors
was going to get the 6.0 heads
was picking up a 4l80e today only to find out it will never bolt to my flywheel.
can not use the 6.0 flywheel on my 4.8 it is balanced diffrently.


i need to just get a complet 6.0, trans, and drive shaft, i'll sell off what i already have. put the cash to a whipple.
