The only thing I dont like about the procharger setup is the air intake is just above the driverside header sucking hot-*** air, re-routing it or puting in some kind of heat shield would would help..

Other than that its a really good system.

samuriarte just purchased one. The headunit is on the drivers side, intercooler runs below the radiator somewhere, and is a nice setup.

I prefer the instant power of a screw/roots supercharger as opposed to a centrifugal one on a heavy vechicle like a truck. You can get a nice stall converter and a centrifugal will be nice and quick. They also boost according to RPM unlike the screw/roots where they are full boost almost instantly.

I don't have mine on yet I know GMCSKI has some cool pics of his, if you can find one of his posts.
Does anybody else think that maybe the air intake is purposely small, and alittle hotter air to maybe de-tune it, so it doesn't get too much air(BOOM!) I have wondeered this, because it obviously will be sucking some hot air. It is usually cool here, so I don't have to worry much about it, unless it's a hot day, and sitting in traffic. A hot day here is 70-80 degrees. I will definately post some pics when I install it. it will be a couple weeks probably. Do a search here, and Full Size chevy, and you will find some.

Yes, the key word it YET. hehee.

You will just have to do some experimenting on to what will be the best air intake setup for it.

There will be way less driveline stress with a centrifugal SC than with a screw/roots. The screw/roots makes power off idle where a centrifugal is about 2800rpm+. I would go ahead and put it on. Just get a shift kit and billet servos to help your trans stay together.

I'd say you will get around 375rwhp.

I've had my ATI charger for almost a year now
They siad they had sold about 6 kits when i had mine
My tranny didn't last very long with the 3k stall. i didn't have a tranny cooler or shift kit
I doubt that would help for long, A 3000 stall and a power adder won't make the tranny last verylong under abuse.
With stock motor and BBK 80mm tb i pulled some good numbers though a stock exhaust 366rwhp and 362rwtq
I haven't had a chance to get back to the dyno with the truck sitting this winter
I've been planing a new intake setup for now i butcherd my old K@N fipk filter kit onto the intake of the charger. It helped some as the ati K@N filter was collapsing under all the boost.
In my opinion i would get larger injectors to run the kit
I was running lean with stock injectors out of the box
I've gotten rid of the FMU and tuned in some larger injectors this has helped alot
I'm currently going to add the smaller 3.6 pulley
I'm going to de-tune the truck some and drop the rev limiter and shift speeds see what kind of boost i get lower rpms .
With the 3k stall it roasts the tires on a hard launch so there is some good low end power
We'll see when i get some dyno numbers one of these days and or some track numbers
I'm roasting tires with the stock 342 rear end
Soon to be 410's with a eaton ..
I've got lots to say on the this kit
Any questions shoot

GMCSKI, I sent you a couple Q's a while ago. Not sure if you got it?
I was wondering if you could tell me/us what is involved in using bigger injectors.
What kind to use/yours?
What is involved in the tune to use the larger injectors?
I am interested in doing this, but I do not know how, and there is no shop here that I trust to mess with that stuff. I do have LS1Edit. I have some experience in spark tables, and some trans stuff, but not with the fuel. I am trying to learn a little bit of stuff in my Corvette fuel injection and elec engine management book, by Charles Probst.
Can you give me some tips?
Thank you in advance! Sam

GMCski, im planning on installing this soon within 1 or 2 weeks i dont have injectors, should i just not try it with the FMU at all and wait to get money for injectors? im getting really anxious to install this thing but i know i should just take my time and do this right i cant afford to mess this thing up right away even tho i kno eventually it will, i also dont know what i would have to do to tune in the injectors or even what kind of injectors would you reccomend?.
