BTW, I talked to a guy today at a local speed shop that installed a whipple on a 5.3, he said the carbueration was dead on and the low end felt pretty strong but after dynoing, it had only gained 61hp to the wheels. Thats one reason why I was leary of using a screw type charger is lack of peak hp. Still kicking ideas around...

The reason the whipple is lacking on the top end is it has no intercooler. Intake temps get so high in the upper rpm's, that it backs alot of timing out to keep from detonating.

If the whipple had an intercooler, it would be even better than the radix. Intercooled screw is probably the ultimate supercharger setup.
