Idk how to describe but lately I've just been having the urge, a craving. The American spirit to build a supercharged 5.3. what's the cheapest way to do it? I really don't care how much HP it makes but looking for close to 500 lb ft torque. I'm only asking what needs to be done to a stock 2002 5.3 with 100k miles. I already know the transmission which I'm thinking built 4l80e or 6l80e. I'm also really thinking about this on a budget side and don't want or need to go crazy on the engine.

Nothing needs to be done to the engine other than injectors if you keep it under 10 pounds of boost.

Yup, just need injectors, likely a fuel pump and 2 bar MAP sensor with the supercharger. Easy way to add 100hp just doing that.

Buying a used blower would be the cheapest obviously.
