If it was me, I'd put a 1/2 to 3/4 can in the crankcase i.e. Oil Fill.

and you could kiss that 6L bye bye.

Seafoam will break down your oil. Ignore this suggestion.

grippy - "I'd pour 16 ounces of a highly concentrated de-greasing flamable solvent straight into my oil fill"

You ever see what that stuff does to oil? It turns it to the consistency of water.

1 pint treats 10quarts of oil in the crankcase.

I wouldn't do it, just my opinion though. Maybe I'd try it in a old beat up 400,000 mile 1979 engine that had sat for a while and was dirty but, a brand new engine. I'd just keep the oil and filter changed at regular intervals and leave it at that.

Now the stuff works wonders cleaning out the intake/TB.

I have no experience running it through the fuel system either, not sure how it could hurt that.

I ran a can through my fuel system, no before and after pics though, so I can't comment on that, my engine was both new and clean as a whistle.

When Added to Crankcase (Oil)

Frees sticky lifters and rings
Increases R.P.M.'s vacuum and compression
Cleans dirty parts
Removes moisture
Cleans PCV valve systems

One pint treats 10 quarts of oil (avg. 1 1/2 ounce per quart).

BigTex, why do you think it will destroy his engine?

and technically he'd be saying goodbye to the 5.3 and hello to the 6.0

On a new engine I doubt any of those are a concern.

Fresh oil/filter, keep changed regularly.
