I recently took the cats off my truck, and it sounds much better, and I think it feels stronger. When it shifts into second gear it now lights up the tires much further down the road

Jerry2500-
I really like the sound of it with the borla now. At idle and cruising in town its barely louder than with the cats and borla. Crusing on the highway its only slightly louder than before. If I get into the throttle taking off hard it sounds deep about like my brothers truck with magnaflow and still has the cats.
A muffler does take away a lot of the turbo whistle though, I kinda miss that, its still there just not so obvious but I'm still thinking about installing a cutout just so I can give a warning

Does anyone have a picture of their cats removed? DId you install a x pipe to equalize the pressure? I am interested in doing this but i don't see an easy fit for the x-pipe on my 6,0L

Its after the turbo wedged right beside the spare tire, its turned at an angle, its not pretty but its not touching anything and it works. It might be easier to run a 4" or 5" outside diameter round muffler instead.
