I love mine with the magnaflow resonators installed in the tailpipes. Dunno how it would sound with a single side exit and one resonator in it.

Joe, maybe we can try a swap some time.

Thanks TX, I have heard your truck, it sounds much better with the resonators. I am just not sure of which one and where to put it for best results.

Moddo,

The diff between your truck and mine may be the cam. Mine's still stock. I may be in the same boat as you after next week. 220 cam and radix install starts monday.

I added a donaldson off road muffler to my DMax work truck when I installed the 4" exhaust. It quieted it down quite a bit vs the glass pack type muffler that came with the kit. It's a straight through design with a 4" perforated pipe going through the middle of a 7" case. There's a four segment perforated cone in the middle of the 4" pipe that diverts some of the exhaust out of the inner pipe and into the larger outside case. The diverted exhaust goes around the cone and then back into the 4" inner pipe before exiting. The neat thing about this muffler is that you could change your sound level by opening the cone a little or a lot depending on how much noise you can tolerate. Worked like a charm on my DMax. Quiet at cruise and just a little more sound at power. Don't know how it would work on a gas powered truck though. I know that the turbo on the diesel takes a lot of noise out by itself. I might have a Corsa system for sale too. If I have to change the muffler, I'll probably jerk it all out. On my reg cab step side, there's just not much room under there to add any kind of supplemental muffler or resonator.

Corsa is pretty well known for that rasp!! Resonators or 2 high flow cats will cure it.

here is what i used. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

since you have the touring you might want to go with the 12" bullet to keep some loudness to the idle, but this one will definately take care of 90% of the rasp
weld it into the intermediate pipe(before muffler). done

How do the bullets work? Whats thier main purpose? Does some people have headers - to cats - to bullet - to muffler - to exit? Or are they mainly for people who aren't running any cats?
