Take the intake off to pull the engine, drill a big hole in the back removal bracket to wrap a chain and secure it with a bolt/not,make something simuliar for the front.I did mine with the hood still on.

Drill holes?? Whoa. All I needed to drop my 5.3 in was get two bolts that fit the pre-drilled holes on the heads, bolt the chain to the heads and go. All this was done with the intake and trans all-in-one.

Drilling a hole in the bracket is only for saftey, the bracket is the OE bracket on the back of the head drivers side it is there from the factory for a reason R&R,they have a special tool that connects to it.I drilled mine ,you dont have to.
