Pulling the motor! Cam Bearing. Pics
Went to do a cam swap this weekend and had trouble getting the old cam out. Finally after what seemed like an hour Cody was able to get it out. The 4th journal on the cam, second from the back was black, like the bearing was getting really hot. We took a chance and put the new cam in hoping it would be ok, started it up, and the oil pressure was at 6 maybe 7. So we're pretty sure its a cam bearing. Going to get the motor out this week and look at my options.
You can see where this lobe was excessively worn. Cam has 30k on it. Maybe a bearing in the lifter? Or To much spring pressure? Running Patriot Duals. This is the only lobe with wear like this.

I've seen a cam bearing just like that . . .
The motor had a FRAM filter on it . . . there was filter media in the oil passages in the block.
You're going to have to replace the cam bearings in the block. If you don't, the cam bearing will spin itself out of the block

I run mobile 1 filters, and Im about to pull it and get the shortblock rebuilt. Hoping it is the cam bearing. I hope the new cam will be fine and not messed up, it only ran for about 10 seconds

If it did, it did. I know you wanted me to go home and grab a stocker to put in it, but I chose to chance it. Hopefully since it just ran for maybe 10 seconds it will be fine, if not I have to send it in to comp. Ive got the truck in the shop, ill probably do it this weekend, Im suppose to paint an overall but we'll see what happens.
