Exclamation Pulling out motor questions??? What bolts to pull up with???

I searched and could not find any write up about this. Just wondering what everyone uses to pull them out with. Someone told me valley bolts and another told me to put one in the front of one head and a bolt in the back of the other head. Also, is it easier to pull out the motor and tranny or do them separate?

separate isn't too bad...we did the bolts in the heads. A better solution is the tool that bolts up like your valley cover and you just attach the cherry picker with a chain to that. No worries about balancing the engine like you have to with the bolts in the head

i just bolt a chain to the heads, but not 1 front 1 back, just strait across from each other.
