why is it such a pain in the a** for me to pull the plug wire off the plug. i feel like im doing something wrong due to the fact that they are freakin on there. I was goin to check and make sure im not missing any steps b4 i F-up my wires.
anyone got any tricks to getting them off. its hard to get my hand around those things w the manifold shield sht in the way.

They are a bitch I must agree. Get some tight fitting leather gloves when you do it to cut down on the knuckle busting and swearing.

but you do just pull them. I was like jesus am i becomeing a retard, cant change spark plugs

yeah, pull like a ****. it is a pain in the ***, just be sure you pull it off straight and you'll be fine

Give the boots a little twist first to break them free from the plug. They tend to want to stick to the plug after they have been on there a while. If you have a pair of slip joint pliers you can adjust them to fit the boots with the jaws parallel and use them to gently pull the boots off. It will mark up the aluminum heat shileds on the boots a little but if you are careful it will not really damage anything. Once you have them off and on a couple of times they get a little easier to pull by hand. Wearing tight leather gloves is a good idea.

I definately agree too! They are a pain, just needs a little patinece to get the job done. The last one of the left side of the motor is was the hardest because of the dipstick being in the way.

twist them around a few turns.. then its not so bad.. but WEAR GLOVES! Dont say oh its no biggie cause it wont take long. Then you wont be cussin 5 cuts later or the next day when they are sore lol

Changing plugs on our trucks kinda sucks...not nearly as easy as it was on my '71 Monte Carlo and the 350 Rocket.
