put Chokemasters back on my truck
A buddy from highschool just bought a brake and muffler shop and made me a hell of a deal on true duals. One catch was i had to put his brand{ flowmaster} on. So they ran all new pipe through it and put two 40 series on it. I really didnt want them anymore because i liked my Magnaflow wide mouth muffler. I did hate the rasp ever since i got rid of my cats. It did sound like a redneck glasspack truck for a while. The flowmasters got rid of that so i was glad about that. Now I know this sounds crazy but the truck seems to running smoother with them. Maybe because i had almost no back pressure. Maybe because i cant hear in between shifts now that it seems to shift smoother. I know it sounds crazy. It did pick up a little bit down low and seemed to take away from up top a bit. Since i changed the cam and could get my converter i needed anything i could get back down in the low rpms. I hate having flowmasters again just because of them being flowmaster but the truck seems to be better. Oh yeah All new pipe, turn downs, and 2 40series for $120 didnt seem that bad to me on price. I know that engines need to breath but do you think because it has more back pressure now that is why it feels like it shifts different. he says he is going to carry the hooker mufflers { aero chambers or something like that} and wants to swap me even for those next month. I told him that i am in the process of moving to Dallas as we speak {infact i am up getting some things now} and he said just give him some feed back on them. I was like that is cool with me and suggested he needs to carry corsa and let me try them out. He said i was pushing it then.

Hey RED2K, was there any unusual wear in your engine from the 175 shot? Thinking of a 100-150 myself, but if more is safe, thats always better.
