Default Put it on the dyno today..

Well, I finally got a chance to put the truck on the dyno today. Here are the mods: 02 silverado 5.3, k&n fipk, Asp underdrive pulley, comp 212/218 .522/.529 114 lsa, Futral motorsports mail order tune, ASM headers, stock Y pipe and single Big magnaflow exhaust, High flow cats, built transmission w/ shiftkit, 4.10 gears. All of these runs were done in Third gear with the stock converter unlocked. Temp was 88 degrees.

Highest out of three runs was 298.73 hp and 295.84 Tq.

I sold the TEA's, I was just scared of those 2" intake valves and basically how much they were ported. Im having Futral Motorsports port me another pair with stock vavles. These wont be nearly as aggressive.

Wow, look how flat that torque curve is! Not really a curve at all. Nice.

To Holla if Ya Hemi, first thing their is no way in hell that your truck can get 300 rwhp with a intake and exhaust. Have you had it dynoed yet? Apparently not. Most 2wd Hemi trucks are dynoing around 250-260 rwhp. Hell I took my truck to the dyno and a 2wd rcsb hemi that day dynoed 250rwhp, I dynoed 255. Come down to realality, that is a low low 14 second run maybe 13's with 300rwhp. Most Rcsb hemis 2wd are running 15-high 14's. Look at Superchips dyno numbers, JBA exhaust numbers, Both will tell you with a exhaust you will get around 265ish intake will give 10 at the most. Get a clue and come down to reality.

hey, I think he's got some good numbers. All of us there are not that way.

Take in mind though that the hemi's put out more power than you guys think too.

I put down 300fpt bone stock and only 248rwhp but I my rev limitor came in on 3rd gear. We didn't know the tricks like we do now.

My buddie hemi777 who was a big chevy fan has his truck dynoing 300+hp and torque bone stock with out a muffler and air filter. Home made intake.

his best run was 13.7 n/a and with 100 shot of nos we ran 12.75.

Honestly, I like all the vehicles. I have a bone stock, ok, almost bone stock lt1 97 formula running 13.6s. just a programmer and mas with only 2.73s.

I was just wondering what the altiute you had reaper. I know the weather was hot. I bet your numbers might even be higher with altitude correction.

I think a good programmer will get you some extra power. Say like westers.
