Default Question on 1/4 mile time???

I just bought some new tires the other day and i was wondering what i should expect in the 1/4 if i already run a 15.7 on 265/75 r16's. My new tires are a little bigger but i think i lack the power to get em movin fast enough 285/75 r16 they're 33" tires! Thanks

Oh and i think that each tire weighs about 10 lbs more each

SLOW, well i am guesing since those are taller and also heavier your going to slow down a bit, I say around 16-16.2 at 85 mph.

well think about it, going to a taller tire from a 31 stock I believe to a 33 would be like taking your gears and switching them out for 3.42 or 3.08 plus add the 10 extra lbs from every tire 40lbs. I am saying it's going to be around the 16 second mark. your highway mileage should improve and the city mileage will drop. you ned to get in those 4:10 or finish your build up.

Slap in some 4.56's (which would play nicely with 33's and OD) and it should knock 1/2 to 3/4 of a second off of your times on getting that big heavy truck moving down the track if you get a good launch. Big iron need big gears.
