Have all your sets you have delt with rattled? I have a rattle at the top of third that is either the crossmember/ypipe or the driver side resonator, I feel it through the pedal...its enough that it trips the kr up to about 4-5*

Maybe my memory is bad but i could of swore the "fake cats" were empty.

I do know that its not the same type of honeycomb thats in reg. cat converters, so the OP doesnt get confused.

**** i cant remember what i did yesterday let alone last year LOL.

Now i want to double check to see if there is indeed a honey comb like structure inside the fake cats.

Hey Tim, I know mine don't have any type of honeycomb material, but they do have several small holes inside of them...kinda like an old round THRUSH muffler used to have, if you're old enough to remember those? If you look straight into either end of it, the inner diameter doesn't change, but in the area where they get larger externally is where these holes are.

Yep! I just looked at my Y pipe before i put it back on to finish my 80E swap.

NO HONEYCOMB INSIDE! I thought my memory was better than that!

But yes there is some preforated metal around the inside ID of the fake cat. But they are straight thru with nothing in the way.
