Default Question about ory For Pacesetters

Is the merge as shitty as the one they use for the ls1 f-bodies? They have crap in theirs that needs to be grinded out. Is the ory for trucks any better?

Do they sound as raspy as the fbodies?

They merge pretty good. As far as Raspy, depends on what muffler you run. I run the loudmouth, so yes.

The old design was not very good but the newer design is a 3 piece unit that merge's nicely.

yeah, from the pics the merge looks decent. Does it look good inside the y collector?

sounds like theyre pretty decent.

Any regrets putting them on? Any issues like leaks where the collector connects to the ypipe or the flange and the heads?

i just put mine on a little while ago and i think the quality was very good for the price. i had a more expensive set of BBK shorties before and the quality was very poor by comparison. i will say however if you want a good clean leak free install get some stock gaskets (like 12 bucks a piece at the dealership) and some band clamps for the collector and ORY and i think you will be very happy.

Sounds like their a good deal. I wish there was room in the ypipe for some bullet mufflers.

I hate rasp. I dont care what anyone sez, you can reduce rasp but you cant get rid of all of it without cats or mufflers in the ypipe.

I currently have duals with no y pipe, x pipe and 19" magnaflows. No rasp and quiet at cruise.
