Default Question on ARP Rod and Main Bolts/Studs

So I will be upgrading to ARP bolts on the rods and studs on the mains. Question is, can I just remove the bolts and replace with ARP and torque to spec or is there any special thing I need to do? I will not be removing the crank or rods or anything. Just changing the Bolts. I will be using the correct ARP Ultra Torque fastener assembly lube on the bolts as well.

I wanna say the arp mains have more clamping force than the stock mains and would require your mains to be line honed for proper bearing fitment. At least that's what i have been told

Supposed to line hone mains and rods when installing ARPs. Many don't though, up to you.

Perfect guys, appreciate the fast responses. I will have it done right and will hone the mains and rods. I am trying to get all my ducks in a row before I add boost.

Excellent question, thanks for posting it. I was thinking of having this done when I had my cam replaced (all the installers I've spoken with have said they'll pull the engine to do that).

It never occurred to me that any machine work would need to be done.

Arp rod bolts dont need the rods to be resized

Arp mains will need machine work as line bore will be off

The stock spec of 15 ft lbs and then 75 degrees of twist on the stock bolts versus using ARP's doesn't distort anything. I tried it on a set of LS rods at my friends engine shop on his machine and they did not change. Lots of LS rods are just out of round... stock bolts or otherwise. Mains should be checked and may need align boring... my last block though as example did not.
