Default Question for blownchevy

Do you guys still make the sidemount supercharger if so how much is the kit going for?, what kinds of gains did they see on a 5.3L? Also what tranny should I get that will hold up to the Radix because I believe that I saw on the FLP website that they have stage 1, 2 and 3 trannys. I think stage one was advertised to hold 450hp. Just wondering. Thanks

They do not make them anymore I know there was a guy on this site that was selling one @ a pretty good price, I just cant remember his name The sidemount kit added approx 60 un intercooled rwhp @ about 4-5 psi. The FLP trans is a good set up to handle the Radix, your stock trans with a shift kit and some servos will hold up for a while depending on your driving habits

e-mail us @ info@projectrwear.com for a great price on the Radix kit!

"your stock trans with a shift kit and some servos will hold up for a while depending on your driving habits "

Mine showed signs of wear when the guy pulled it apart looking at it. The 3/4 clutches showed a noticable amount of wear, and the 1/2 clutches showed minimal amounts of slippage. The coast or overrun clutches were worn out. The band and drum was about shot, but that was because of other issues, the rest was just wear and tear. I'm glad I got it built when I did, otherwise I would have had some problems.

FLP makes a lvl 4 tranny that would be a nice choice for a RADIX, unless you drive like I do, then you might should step up a little and go with the lvl5.

FLP says they recommend the 4L65E(level 5) for the trucks due to the weight. But at almost $2600 + core, it's a little steep. BUT, they definitely have had the R & D for their tranny in a truck! Can't remember who broke their lvl 4 tranny....Parish8 I think. FLP kept at it until they fixed all the problems. So hopefully, you'll never have to worry about the tranny again.

Mine will be for sale here soon.... have to tear my motor down first. SC will come with everything two sets of injectors, an assortment of pullies and belts. Not sure what I will want for it but it has only been run 8900 miles and recently had the oil changed in the blower.
With this installed I put down 353rwhp and 380ft lbs. Ran pretty good but broke #7 piston I believe up while putting a SERIOUS wax job on an SRT Dodge. I guess at least I won....
