Default question on a puttin a carb'd motor in a 95 chevy truck

the tps isn't the only thing that transmission needs to shift, it has a fully electronic valve body. The 90's diesel vans and truck had a separate transmission computer to run the 4l60e, or there's a few companies that make them(b&m, tci).... good luck though, it's expensive.

Back in 1997 I put a '97 305 Vortec in the 'ol 94 W/T and ran a carb on it. I just used a non electronic 700R4. There is a valve that can be changed that will allow TCC lockup whenever it goes into 4th and it doesn't even require any wires going to the trans. We ran it for about 80,xxx miles like that with no probs at all. I am all for electronic transmissions but if your motor isn't computerized then I would go old school on the trans also. Just mu .02
